He was born in Kano on January 1, 1980, but grew up in Lafenwa, Abeokuta North, Ogun State. Ibrahim Yekini was born and raised in Kano, Nigeria.
He graduated from Zawaye Primary School with his First Leaving School Certificate and Ahmadiyah Secondary School with his Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE), after which he attended Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta (MAPOLY).
Career
Itele D’Icon began his acting career in 1998, when he engaged in an apprenticeship with the Folorunsho Adejobi theatre group in Iju Ishaga, Lagos State.
Itele d’icon made his Nollywood debut in 2000 with the film “Dapo Tori Ti E,” in which he played a criminal.
His first film was titled “Itele,” and he received his nickname from the film’s title.
His second project was “Ekun Meta,” directed by Don Richard, from whom he learnt to direct. They’ve collaborated on a number of projects. This film catapulted him into the spotlight.
