So like i have already highlighted, it takes 7years to study law in Nigeria. Out of that 7years, 5years will be spent in Nigerian university as a law student. In Nigerian university, the 5years is divided into 10 semesters. 2 semesters will be taken each year (Also called session). After the study of law in Nigerian university, students will be offered their LLB certificate. That is, Bachelor in law certificate.
After the five years study of law in Nigerian university, students will proceed to the Nigerian law school, where they will be thought the practice aspect of the law. According, they will serve their country, Nigeria for 1year too. Following all these, it takes a total of 7 (seven) years to study law in Nigeria.

Can a person practice law in Nigeria without going to law school?
No. A person cannot practice law in Nigeria with going to law school. This is because, it is in Nigerian law school that students are taught about the practical aspect of the law, and the kind of law practiced in Nigeria. Also remember that legal study in Nigerian law school is 1year.
