After taking JAMB examination, one of the questions many JAMB candidate ask is “How long will it take for JAMB results to be released?”. Well, that is a very important question, and that is why i have decided to openly give an answer to it here. How long will it take for JAMB results to be released?

It will take 3 days after JAMB UTME examination, for JAMB results to be released. This has been officially confirmed by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). According to JAMB, “if you take your JAMB exam today, your result will be out in the next three days”. So you see, you don’t need to panic at all. Your JAMB result will be out in the next three days.

Meanwhile, i have heard candidates complaining bitterly that it has passed 3 days, and their JAMB results are not yet out. If you are having this same problem, just keep calm and wait for some days more. Your result will definitely be released. It has been reported that this problem is as a result of the network error in JAMB system. But that notwithstanding, your result will be released. Just keep calm and wait for 3 days more.

How will JAMB result look like when it comes out?

Apparently, JAMB graded over 400. This means that a candidate can score anything from 0 – 400. Each subject is over 100. Which is a total of 400 for all 4 subjects. JAMB cutoff mark for universities is 180 and 150 for polytechnics. So if you want to gain admission into a Nigerian university, you must score up-to 180. Accordingly, if you want to gain admission in a Nigerian polytechnic, you must score up to 150. If you don’t score up-to this cutoff mark by JAMB, you may not be offered admission in JAMB CAPS.
