There has been heavy unconfirmed reports on the North Korean leader’s whereabouts. Some Hong Kong magazine reported him Dead after an unsuccessful heart surgery.
Kim Jong Un’s absence from the 88th anniversary of the birth of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army further fueled the talk of his death.
The side talks about his death grew louder when China sent special medical experts to help treat Kim. Reuters reported Friday.
Although, this has not been confirmed by the North Korean media. But according to a Japanese paper news outlet – while Kim Jong Un was on a visit to the countryside earlier this month, he clutched his chest and fell to the ground in terrible pains. A doctor in his company quickly performed CPR and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where apparently the procedure was performed.
Due to the states high level of secrecy, news of his death might only come from North Korea state media, which delayed the announcements of the deaths of Kim’s predecessors (his father and grandfather) for up to four days.
“When it comes to North Korea you can never be too sure until you hear the news from the country itself,” said David Maxwell, a North Korea specialist at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.
There is also a theory that if Kim turns out dead, the Coronavirus could be a contributing factor. more-so that he has underlying health conditions. __ But i personally doubt that. Even though there are footages of people wearing masks, North Korea has claimed zero COVID-19 cases.
Kim has been North Korea’s supreme leader since 2011, when his father, Kim Jong Il passed on as a result of a heart attack. Kim Jong Il had succeeded his father, Kim Il Sung, who also died of a heart attack in 1994.
Now the big question is, who is in line of succession ? his Immidiate younger sister maybe.
